1. Did my Mets win tonight?
I stopped watching at the bottom of the 5th, when they were letting the Dodgers get the upper hand. Much as I love them, they're mostly unbearable to watch!! :)

12. It was twenty years ago this month
With tears stinging my eyes, I got up to change the channel before the Mets made the out that would lose them the 1986 World Series. But as Mookie Wilson's ground ball got under Bill Buckner's glove and up the right field line, all I could do was remain frozen with my back bent and my hand inches from the channel selector. I honestly thought I was having some kind of delusional hallucination!

15. I remember it well
Time for a repeat? (Well, perhaps sans the dramatic edge of the seat, nail-biting conclusion...) Go Mets!!

Alonso/Renault just won the second to last Formula 1 race as well, thanks to Schumy's engine blowing up. Whatta night, I'm stoked! :)

6. Talk about killing some demons!!!!
They beat long time nemesis Greg Maddux to do this.

They stomped Atlanta all season long.

Now, with the Yankees ouster, the Mets OWN New York!!!!!

Talk about a dream season.

8. No doubt
usually I hate the NY tabloids but I don't know what set of headlines will make me more happy...the Mets celebrating their sweep or the Yankees lamenting their loss to a team they were "supposed" to stomp

10. Sports writers will be eating crow over that one
I have a hard time thinking they address the Yankees. Many claimed they had the greatest batting line up of all time.

I'll laugh if they spend a lot of space lamenting on that one.

11. I think Buck Martinez of ESPN was the only one picking the Tigers
I'm pretty sure that was him, I heard him talk about it the other day on Mike and the Mad Dog to be exact

13. I miss WFAN
I wonder what the callers are gonna talk about tomorrow.

Perhaps they'll refuse to allow the Yankee fans to air their greivances and allow met fans to bask in the sunlight.

14. I was listening to them on Friday
and the first two hours of their show was devoted entirely to the Yankees, and they had only lost 1 game at that point so I am not so hopeful when it comes to Mets talk come tomorrow or Monday

22. I am so used to talking about the AL, cause I don't care about the NL
force of habit.

BTW, congrats on the A's success.

I'll be rooting for them against the Tigers.

Even though they are a feel-good story, and they beat the evil Yankees, they are still Detroit...

Four games of supporting them is all I can stomach.

PLEASE don't make me root for them in the WS
