What's in your garage?
Tomorrow we are cleaning out and organizing our garage that has over 10 year's worth of crap in it. It's about time we did this.

I'm totally motivated and also a bit curious about what lost treasures I might find that I can then get rid of. LOL! Yup, a good ole Fall Cleaning is definitely in order. Wish us luck!!

Our plan: Three piles: 1.) Give Away, 2.) Throw Away, 3.) Put back in garage
Hopefully, the third pile will be the smallest.
I plan to be completely ruthless. I am ready to purge, dammit! :D

Here's what's in mine:
boxes and boxes of old pictures,
knick knacks,
toys,
beach stuff,
camping equipment,
old files from waaaay back,
tools,
old baby clothes,
holiday decorations,
outdoor furniture pads,
bicycles,
boxes and boxes of my mother's shit that we've been storing for her for FAR TOO LONG,
an extra dining room set, complete with chairs,
various other pieces of furniture,
Goddess knows what else....:eyes:

So, what's in YOUR garage???? Do you even know? Well, do ya??

And let me just say that those of you who actually put your CARS in your garage are just too perfect for words. I am definitely NOT perfect. Nor do I ever plan to be....

1. I am perfect, for I can fit 2 cars in my garage
It also helps that I have only lived where I live for 3 years so far.

:P

2. my bike, some boxes I haven't unpacked from moving, several motorcycles in
various stages of diassembly and one that actually works, most of an '81 corvette, a tranny to I have no idea what, a washing machine, the lawn mower, some boxes of trophies from my public speaking and baby sister's matrial arts and cheerleading... I'm probably missing things.

13. Oh, this isn't the washer we use, our laundry room is inside
This is the washer from my old apartment, sitting out there because I haven't got around to re-homing it yet. It could be worse, my dryer is sitting in the dining room. :eyes:

4. I'd have a panic attack, lol.
I hate having stuff in stuff and behind stuff and in the attic and in the close and under the bed and all that. I'm getting rid of another bunch of books this weekend. I'm wanting to not have to have a bookshelf anymore, I'm tired of dusting it and the humidity is annoying to me. I'm holding onto tools I actually use now and again, a stack of Christmas cards I got for free that will last me the rest of my life, and some other few things that all fit in one box, but the rest is going little by little.

17. My dear Shine!
LOL! I guess I'm too perfect!

My car goes in my garage.........

OK...there are a couple of old campaign signs, a medium sized plastic trash bin, and a folded up beach chair....

But mainly my car sleeps there......

My husband's garage is pretty good too.....two cars there, and the gardening tools hung on the wall. Our recycling bin is there, plus the mail drop........And a couple of cabinets that I think are empty.

But we're lucky, having a custom home.

We have a large room dedicated just to storage.

OK......go ahead and hate me.... This is the first home we've ever had where we had enough space!

19. I'm thankful I don't have a garage
Otherwise it would look like yours. I do, however have a storage unit back in Vermont that I've been paying rent on for over 7 years and it's full of crap just as you've described. There are about 3 items in there that are worth saving - the rest I'm sure is junk.

Luckily the rent's only 25 bucks a month! Have fun - it's always interesting to discover all the things you've forgotten about.

23. My car, one small space for my gardening stuff.
The rest of the space is filled to the rafters with the spousal unit's stuff - tools, half empty containers, boxes of something (I think God's forgotten what's in them), his 72 Blazer, and bits and pieces of this and that.

Mother of God on a rocket sled, the man is a pack rat. :banghead:
