6. emo is sort of like pop-punk
but really whiny and weepy and full of angst.

it was kind of silly 10 years ago, these days it's freaking ridiculous.

Still, has it's amusing aspects :)

Hadn't heard the term before, though. What's the derivation? Only Emo I know is a really unfunny--but certainly whiny--comedian of the 70s. Is that it???

17. Fugazi and Rites of Spring...
Were the first to be called emo-core back in the 80's. Don't blame them for what it becamse. But they were easily the first bands to get hit with that tag when it wasn't a dirty word.
