Is there a way for me to download songs onto my Nano from the Library?
Long story short. I am computerless. I am using the computer at my local library to check email and of course, check out DU.I bought a Nano back in April and was dowloading songs off my friend's Apple laptop.I only downloaded about 30 songs. Well, he dropped his laptop and has not had the money to replace it.I have been saving and plan on buying a new Mac for myself at Christmas. I HATE having to wait that long.

The computers at my library are Dells and not Macs (not sure if that makes a difference). Does anyone know if I can download cd's and songs from Itunes onto my Nano? Theres a white cord attached to the computer, but it doesn't fit my nano. However, there might be a way in the back of the computer where I can plug it in.I'm going home now to get my nano and the cd that came with it. I guess I'd have to use the same computer and download the software onto the Libray's computer, yes? If anyone can advise I would appreciate it. I hate to have to wait til Christmas. I am LOST without my music. Thanks in Advance!

2. If they have iTunes installed, you probably could.
Otherwise, I don't think so.

Most libraries don't allow downloading programs (check with yours), but some libraries have iTunes to distribute downloaded audio books.

3. Thanks
Dumb question but here goes. Would I be hurting the computer if I downloaded the software into their computer? I mostly want to download some cds on my Ipod. I will also do some music from Itunes plus some podcasts as well.I'll ask before I do this, but first want to make sure it can be done. Thanks again!

4. If their network allows you to download the program, it might work.
Your best bet is to ask the librarian about it. Most networks don't allow public users to install any programs, so I doubt that you could do it without some sort of special access.

Also, keep in mind that iTunes is pretty specific about licensing and such, so I wouldn't count on iTunes for downloaded music. Downloading CDs would probably work though.
