Yes!!!! I'm still at ASU! WOO HOO!

Last semester - Spring 2003 - I just got to ASU. For most of the time it was difficult adjusting and getting to know people, plus I did all sorts of drugs towards the end of the semester. My GPA was abysmal - a 1.67 or something absurdly low. 2.0 is the academic probation level - if you don't raise it above that after a semester or two, you get kicked out of school.

Well, I took one class over the summer that I got a B in, so it went to a 1.93.

And I checked my grades today - an A in my favorite class, Supreme Court, and a B in my second-favorite, Comparative Politics. My GPA for this semester was a 3.0 - which is good, considering that I still abuse various substances and I've had massive girl trouble, as anyone who's read my earlier post knows.

So my GPA is now a 2.42. And underneath it says "Status: Good Standing". I'm staying in school. :-)

By the way, if anyone wants to know how the thing with Meghan went, she's now with Phil, and I IMed her one day and said that I really don't care if I ever see her again. Which...I don't. I let go, and it feels great. I want to thank everyone for trying to give me advice, I found it all to be very useful.

3. I pulled in a 1.67 in my first semester at ASU

you will need 2.5 to get into your upper division courses if I remember correctly so that 2.0 is not really a valid baseline, except in the college of Engineering if I remember correctly.
