Can you type when you've been drinking?

Not that I've been drinking because I'm here at work, but the other night I had a few vodka and cranberry juices and found that I couldn't type. It was like slurring your words when you speak — only on the keyboard.

Anyone else have this problem? I don't drink very often, but do you get better at posting and drinking with continued practice?

BTW, I have no idea where this came from, but I am editing hugely long wedding anniversary video for my boss and am about ready to pull out my hair. I guess I'm just thinking I could use a drink right now. ;-)

To answer your question, I think I can still type when I drink. I would just have to look at the keyboard closer while I type. I don't drink at home as a rule, and on the rare occaision I do go out, I'm not interested in sitting at the keyboard when I get home cuz I'm too snockered when I get home. :D

I am going out with the boys on Friday Jan 2, so if I think of it when I get home I'll try it.

Last time I got drunk, a couple months ago, I posted about how bad I felt about getting really drunk. I had eight beers and am a little (125 pounds), generally non drinking woman. If I had another, I think that I would have been on the floor. I hadn't been drunk to that extent for two years and it had been over six months since I had been drunk at all. Someone posted that I didn't seem that drunk by my post. Writing is second nature to me. I am even better writing impaired than speaking. I always can reread what I wrote if I forget what I was saying midsentence.

I wasn't posting here, though. I was on chat with a friend, so I guess I wasn't really drinking alone either. ;-) Wasn't that I couldn't think straight to write, my fingers just didn't seem to be engaged with my brain.
