5. Oyster Dressing
follow closely by Spinach Madelaine and John Folse's recipe for candied yams with fruit. All with a slowly smoked turkey.

None of which my in-laws will eat, so I'm doing without again yet another holiday.

Everybody who's up for a Cajun/Creole holiday meal at markus' house, come on down.

Somebody needs to bring the pecan pie, pralines and the frainch braid.

And the Abita.

7. Risa Milanese
My mom only makes it on Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's rice cooked in spaghetti sauce with chunks of hot sausage. Then she layers it in a casserole dish with sliced boiled eggs, pours a beaten raw egg on the top and then bakes it till it's crispy. It's Sicilian health food.
