Did Your Boss Get You Anything For Christmas?
I was pleasantly suprised this morning when I came into work and my boss gives me a $50 gift card - to something called Simon, which I think is kinda like a pre-paid credit card.

Now I get to buy that movie "Gigli" and not have to feel bad about spending my money on it. :D

So what did your boss get you?

12. My company which is a multi-million dollar outfit gave us zero.
But my boss, who is the head of our department and doesn't make much more money then the people under him, gave us each a small, personalized gift. Knowing that I own a Rottweiler, he gave me a 16-month Rottweiler calendar. And last year, since he knows that I am a Stephen King fan, gave me a King book. Though he doesn't have much money himself, he tries to make up to us for what the company doesn't do on Xmas.

14. Your boss sounds like a great guy.
His higher-ups probably think he's not "effective" since he doesn't get grievances lodged against him, right?

15. the firm/my boss
Edited on Tue Dec-23-03 12:37 PM by Bertha Venation
The firm distributed Sony wireless headphones to all staff & associates.

My boss gave me two small gifts, which I'm saving for Xmas morning so there'll be more to unwrap. One is obviously a CD, I'm guessing Joan Osborne, Natalie Merchant, or a movie soundtrack, and the other is, I think, a fetish. (Her practice is in Native American affairs & I share her affinity for such things.)

To ward off the comments, a fetish is a small god carved of stone. Here is a picture of one:

17. Full time staff got Cash bonuses for christmas....
Part timers got a box of those Butter cookies imported from Brazil that you can buy at walmart for 2 bucks. Yeah, I'm a little bitter. Usually we get nothing. We don't even get to go to the Christmas party. I guess I should be happy with our cookies, but dammit, I work my ass off for that place, and all I get for thanks is a fucking box of cookies? It pisses me off.

20. Yes. Fired.
Long, sickening story, and I probably have the potential to develop it into a half-decent lawsuit.
