I'm Starting to Believe "The Rutles" Are There for My Own Good

Worst. Copycat. EVER.

On edit: My use of the word "copycat" refers to my own post, not The Rutles. The Rutles are absolutely brilliant. I spent the better part of 5 years looking for a copy of the soundtrack on vinyl. Six months after I found it, they released it on CD with 6 bonus tracks.

3. I have the vinyl and the CD
Neil Innes is brilliant.

Working up a fever in a one-horse town was a Jockey by the name of Joe.
He didn't have a lot of what you might call "luck",
But he had a lot of "get-up-and-go".

Get up and go, Get up and go, Get up and go back home.
Get up and go, Get up and go, Get up and go back home.

Tall in the saddle in a one-horse town,
Joey knew someday he'd hit the road.
He traded with a dealer for a pick up truck and was lookin' for a medium-load.

Get up and go, Get up and go, Get up and go back home.
Get up and go, Get up and go, Get up and go back home.

Cruisin' down the highway, doin' sixty-five,
In the middle of the double-white line.
Foot down on the gas and his head in the clouds.
He didn't see the 'one way' sign.

Get up and go, Get up and go, Get up and go back home.
Get up and go, Get up and go, Get up and go back home.

5. "I suffered for my music"
"and now it's your turn."

LOVE the Rutles!

And if it all sounds boring
If it all sounds boring
If it all sounds boring
Then there's something wrong with the song
Or you

Front Loader, let me turn you on
Front Loader, you and me just havin' fun
Front Loader, my words I won't mince
I just love your fully automated second rinse
Ooooh, yeah, yeah!
