2. LOL
Good one from O'Brien. Other ones that come to mind,

'Damn, there goes my campaign'

'I just heard a great sucking sound - my campaign going down the tubes'

'Do I have to give the money back?'

'I know, I'll pretend I was really on the side of the war, hell, it worked for campaign finance reform, NAFTA, and my corporate tax giveaways'

'Doesn't matter, my followers will still tell me how great I am'

7. It's a joke
It's OK to laugh at Lord Howard from time to time.

6. In all fairness
the dramatic change to Dean's speech was this one line

"we are no safer now that Saddam Hussein has been captured".

8. The Howard Dean Quote for Next Week
As Howard Dean watched Tom Ridge's press conference increasing the terror alert level to Orange...

"Oh, crap... well... I told you we weren't safer since Saddam was captured."

9. Funny
It's funny that they waited to raise the alert until most people had finished their Christmas shopping. I guess they didn't want alerts of impending terror to affect their precious economic numbers.

10. Actually most people haven't finished. . . .
Retailers have been reporting slow sales.

Personally I think it was a ruse to give an excuse for slow sales so Bush could say it wasn't because the economy is in the tank, but because there was a terra threat.
