Anyone else love the Letterman bit

usually shown between commericals, where Paul starts singing some wild song out on the stage, really crooning "I'm lost, lost in the wilderness." Then some celeb comes out with a cape walks up behind him slips it on him, attempts to comfort him, and walk him away. Then Paul breaks free and runs back to keep singing, the camera shows the celeb looking at him, shaking their head and walking off....

tonite it was jerry springer who tried to "rescue" paul...

Since it came from a bit James Brown used to do on stage, I thought they might end it after he played the cape holder, but I'm glad they didn't. :)

3. I love it. It's Paul's tribute to James Brown.

Brown used to do this bit (he may still do it, for all I know) where he would really get into the song and his handlers would come out, drape a cape over his shoulders, and start to lead him offstage. But, Brown, ever the showman, would break free.

It's a great piece of business.
