Poll question: "I'm Done Talking About This Right Now"
Is a phrase:
(a) I've heard often from my SO after we argue and it drives me up a wall every time I hear it.
(b) I've used often towards my SO after we argue and it drives me up a wall every time I use it.
(c) Both
(d) Neither
----
I think this is the one phrase that I swear I hope I never hear again from a girlfriend. The way my ex used to say this would cut me right to the bone and I would get sooo angry (which is extremely hard to do to me, I'm a very laid-back person).
I just thought I'd see if I was the only one who ever got this not-so-subtle hint after a particularly bad fight.
but what are you doing to overcome your shyness? I found it easier to talk to a girl as friend first, then when you know her and are comfortable with her ask her out. If she says no, then at least you still have a friend.
Who am I kidding? I don't have a girfriend at the moment either.
12. There are times when an argument is *never* going to end
But one side clearly enjoys arguing and has no compunction about going on for all hours of the night trying to prove his/herself "right" through "logic". In that case--it's best to say "you win" and go to sleep. To give more Tao, the one who does not care about winning an argument will never lose!
