Right Wing smack down big time

I work in a small department (8 staff) at our hospital. I was the on-coming officer and the off-going officer was briefing me on what transpired on his shift.
He mentioned an ER patient who was drug shopping and giving false ID to obtain the drugs.

He was caught when he came to the hospital after being at another hospital's ER for another prescription because the police took his other prescription when the name on it did not match his identification.

This officer began a tirade against these lousy drug addled addicts who are a bane to American society.
I put on a good false rage and said: "Who does this drug seeking bastard think he is...Rush Limbaugh!, How dare he try to get drugs by shopping other doctors" the co-worker said : I guess there is nothing else to say to you and he stormed out!

I loved it, these guys keep saying they will turn me to the dark side...After 18 months, they quit bugging me about my BU** SH** and GW you're fired stickers. One went so far to voice regret over voting for the bastard...
This same one was crying to me over a man who allegedly shot a rapist to death and the state attorney general held him without warrant, the defense attorney not able to convince the "activist Judge" to see the right way. (I really doubt the story as told)And they held him without warrant for 50 days. I jumped in: "Those Fuckers, You'd think this guy was like the 90% of "detainees" at Gitmo who are innocent according to the army inspector general, yet still being held without benefit of attorney or knowing the charges against them. Jesus, that is ok for Feriners, but not good old Americans" he walked away too.

it does shock them to hear a dissenting pov. It happens all the time, its like they surround themselves with people of the same mindset, and it blows them away when somebody says "I don't agree with you because of X, Y, and Z."
