My last day at work

Well, the day has finally arrived. Today is Friday, and tomorrow I fly home to the UK for the Chritmas holidays. No more work for over TWO fuckin weeks. I'm so happy.

Can anyone beat that for a good news story?

It is 73 degrees Farenheit (23 degrees Celcius) right now.

LOL about the grass skirts. That is the kind of things you see in the movies. Although the women dance with grass skirts in tourist areas, that is not the traditional garb of Hula, the Hawaiian artform of dancing.

But yes, when I have time, I go to the beach. The beach is all so pretty and warm. :-) I am in the city of Honolulu right now, but this morning at 9 AM, I fly back to my home island of Maui.

Tomorrow I fly back to the UK. The weather forecast is... yes, you guessed it... RAIN, RAIN, RAIN.

But hey, that's part of it's charm. The pub, the fish and chip shop, the bus stop, sunday roast, stroppy shop assistants, work shy workers... It's England. In fact it's the England that Tony Blair hates, despises. Read some Philip Larkin, and you get a flavour of England.

I submitted my final grades yesterday and now have a month to recover form the semester before I have to go back. The only drawback is that it is not trout season anywhere near where I live (texas). Darn, I'll have to wait for the end of the spring semester.
