HELP... from those who know mexican christmas stuff
One of my students asked me "what's the deal with mexicans and skeletons at christmas?"
I had no answer... i promised him I'd get one..... Tomorrow is the last day of school and all of my research has been in vain.
HELP!!!!!!

1. At Chrsitmas???
The Day after Halloween is Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). That uses skeleton imagery, but I don't know anything about skeletons and Christmas being a Mexican tradition. :shrug:

Now...Las Posadas...that I can help with...but no skeletons.

8. Los Posadas is REALLY big in San Antonio.
The main one ends at San Fernando Cathedral and winds all through downtown San Antonio.

I'm obsessed with knowing stuff too. :geekalert:

9. I'll bet that's so pretty
to see in person. I've only seen specials on TV about Los Posadas. Perhaps there will be someone around here doing it this year. Our Mexican population is very large now.
