Hello from Airport Hell

By rights, I should be in London now.

Instead, I'm sitting in O'Hare, since disruptions due to thunderstorms caused me to miss last night's 9:30 London flight by FIVE MINUTES.

:grr: and :cry:

With thousands of others in similar boats, I ended up in a remote motel, which at least was staffed by nice people.

Now I'm waiting for the 4PM flight, which has already been pushed back to 6PM. :grr: but no :cry: yet,

3. OMG, I definitely feel your pain! I was stuck at Logan in Boston

last night for five hours beyond the original departure time. :( I am so sorry. :hug: It really sucks!

I didn't post at all early on because I thought we were leaving on time. The announcement about the plane being late didn't occur until about 7:20 PM, when we were originally scheduled to leave about 7:30. They kept promising to have things going "very soon". I posted last night until my battery died (about two and a half hours). At least I had DU to keep me entertained!

FWIW, I'd rather be stuck at O'Hare than someplace really awful like the Spokane airport. It's all in the perspective!

6. Ah, I've been in that situation before

But instead of O'Hare, it was Dallas-Fort Worth (and my plane was re-routed to Abeline, Texas for a total of four hours while waiting for the storms at DFW to clear and even then it was shut down for good that night). And instead of going to London, I was headed to Nashville, of all places.

It does suck, I will say that!
