on edit: I could, however, see me wandering around in my shorts, tank top and flip flops, planting seeds all over the Country... I'd be known as "Johnny Reeferseed"....

3. I thought it was rather charming
Albeit in a very cheesy way.

It's filling the reality role in my TV watching schedule. Last year it was the Gilligan's Island reality show.

So far I really like Major Victory. That guy cracks me up, man.

4. Uhm, no thanks.
I don't watch sitcoms because I hate that "embarrass you into laughing" style of humor.

5. It's not a sit com
It's a reality show.

But I get your point. As a general rule I don't like Reality fare, but every once in a while a unique one comes along. In fact, Sci-Fi had a cool one a couple years back called Mad, Mad, House. It featured a bunch of people living in a house with a group of "alts" which consisted of a Vampire, a Wiccan, a Modern Primitve, a voodoo lady and other unusual characters. The contestants were judged on their ability to accept and learn from the lifestyle choices of the alts. Kind of a neat show.

The one I really miss is Joe Schmo though. That was great stuff.

6. I know what it is.
I've even read the bios on all the contestants over at the sci-fi channels web site. I mentioned that I hate the style of humor that tries to embarrass you into laughter, and with the cheese dripping off this show, it's hard to call the comedic style anything else. I thought that made it clear that the style of humor is what I want to avoid.

7. You were quite clear.
You just blatantly used the wrong terminology to describe the show.

A sit com is like Three's Company or Seinfeld or Arrested Development or Everybody Loves Raymond.

You can characterize the comedic style however you like, but when you call it a "sit com" most people familiar with television are going to be lead to believe the format is similar to the shows I listed above. And clearly it is not.

Anyway, it's not that big a deal.

8. I wasn't calling the show a sitcom.
I brought up sitcoms merely to illustrate the type of humor I don't like. My post was very short, so you probably read in something that wasn't there due to the wording or something.

9. Oh okay. Thanks for clarifying what you meant
You have to admit that the way you communicated your orignial thought made it pretty hard for me to assume anything else.

It was probably due to the shortness.
