Sen. Norm Coleman's(R) Dad Cited For Having Sex In Car - He Is 81
<snip>

The 81-year-old father of U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman was cited for lewd conduct and indecent exposure Tuesday for allegedly having sex in a vehicle with a 38-year-old woman, according to a police report.
Police responded to a call early Tuesday evening and arrested Norman Bertram Coleman Sr. and the woman, Patrizia Marie Schrag of St. Paul, outside a pizza restaurant on the eastern edge of downtown St. Paul.

Sen. Coleman, R-Minn., issued a statement Wednesday that said:

"I love my father dearly. I do not condone his actions or behavior, and I am deeply disturbed by what I have learned. He clearly has some issues that need to be dealt with, and I will encourage him to seek the necessary help."

Calls to Norm Coleman Sr.'s home in St. Paul were not returned Wednesday.

The elder Coleman was a familiar figure during his son's terms as mayor of St. Paul, and was a campaign fixture four years ago when Coleman won a hard-fought race for the U.S. Senate, defeating former Vice President Walter Mondale after Sen. Paul Wellstone was killed in a plane crash.

Sen. Coleman has often referred to his father, a veteran of the Normandy invasion and the Battle of the Bulge and a former businessman, as one of his personal heroes.

9. I think that's funny...did you know that the sharpest increase in STD
cases is in "senior living communities?" All these swinging senior citizens are NOT having protected sex....the only difference between them and teens is the illegitimate birth rate is zero! :D

11. The vikings in a boat, Norm's dad in a car... when did MN become a bunch..
of fucking degenerates!?!?! This certainly wasn't the way my father and grandparents (all Minnesotans) conducted themselves! What would Walter Mondale and Hubert Horatio Humphrey say about all this unbridled fornication?

13. Methinks Sen. Coleman should lighten up. I don't think this is
anything for him to be "deeply disturbed" about. This may not have been the best spot for Coleman, Sr. to be engaging in such behavior, but if it was between consenting adults it's not anyone else's business.

Just sayin'.

30. 81 years old and can't afford to get a room?
sorry, there IS a problem

when old people start to lose their inhibitions and judgment, it is often a VERY good indicator of alzheimer's

senior needs a good physical check-up to find out what's going wrong w. his brain

there is no reason for an 81 year to be a hero merely for getting it up, they're a drug on the market now and quite the nuisance thanks to viagra and friends

if you had some dirty old man having sex w. a hooker in front of your place...you'd be pretty damn upset

if he can't figure out that he needs to get a room and take it out of the public eye, he has serious issues that are NOT going to get any better

21. I think that sex between consenting adults is wonderful............
However...there are more appropriate places than in a car!

I think that it would have been a lot more comfortable and a lot more discreet to be making love in a bedroom.......

Just sayin'.........

31. i'm betting it's alzheimer's
it's surprising sometimes how the person's sense of what is appropriate starts to go while they're still at a stage where they're pretty good at concealing the memory loss

this isn't cute or funny to me

it's sad

33. er, why do you assume she wasn't?
it sounds like the lady was a whore, her name and identifying details such as age are given, so she was clearly detained and identified, i'm sure she was arrested for prostitution but some over-the-hill thirtysomething slag selling herself for a few bucks to an old rich guy isn't a news story

the news story is self-righteous old rich republican guy getting arrested

the focus is the hypocrisy, as it should be

Don't know many whores, don't know any actually. Don't know if they'd hang at a pizza joint looking for johns....

The article makes no mention of anyone but the senior coleman being charged, hence my assumption...
