I know I was getting frustrated with this '3 new episodes, 2 repeats, 3 new episodes, 2 repeat' type scheduling. Most of the episodic TV shows I watch are the type where you'll get all of your episodes right in a row week after week without break (like HBO & the cables) so it was irritating to deal with Network Scheduling where they put in too many breaks between episodes that you start losing interest (personally I could care less about Desparate Housewives anymore).
But ABC is changing that with the new scheduling and personally I like it!

Life will be different this fall for fans of ABC's "Lost" and "Desperate Housewives."
The next question is whether things will be better or worse. In key changes:
• "Lost" will drastically change its pattern to avoid reruns. It will debut Oct. 2 and air for six or seven straight Wednesdays. Then it will step aside for three months. In February it starts airing the rest of its 22 episodes on consecutive weeks.

• Both shows will get more time from their high-profile producers. "Lost" will have J.J. Abrams back. "Desperate Housewives" will have Marc Cherry fully in charge.
