1. There've been several complete eliminations of schools in my area....
....I wish it were just recess to think about. :(

2. No BUT: In order to comly with TX state requirements for more phys ed.,
they spend the first ten mins of recess walking around in a big circle like POW's. No talking. No running. It's utter bullshit.

...I've noticed a lot of the playground equipment like swings and monkey bars have been taken down to reduce liability.

6. They have recess at lunch in my son's school and sometimes
an extra recess if the weather is nice and the class has been good. My daughter went to a private school that had two recesses everyday up until 8th grade. I thought that was great. :hi:
