I'm the first to admit it - I really enjoyed Survivor this year
We all have to have at least one guilty pleasure TV show and mine is definately Survivor. But I'll be the first to admit that I was starting to lose interest in the show, especially after the pitiful season 4 & 5. Season #6 was ok, but I was about ready to give up on season #7, but they managed to turn that show around and hook me all over again. Rupert has to to be one of the best people they've ever brought on to play Survivor and let's face it Jon has to be probably one of the creepiest snakes to ever play. I have to give the biggest idiot award to Burton only because if he had stuck with alliance with Lil, he probably would have won the million dollars. But Burton saw what a snake Jon was and wanted to bring him into the final 2 (who could blame him - Lill should hav done the same thing). But but when Burton started to back away from his alliance with Lill, I knew those girls would get their brains together and finally breakup the alliance between Jon and Burton. Sure, you think Lill was probably the biggest idiot for not taking Jon into the final #2, but I liked her reasoning - Sandra was a mother and family person like you and she just didn't want to see Jon win any of the money.

It was a great season - what do the rest of you think!!

I thought it was.................
the worst one ever and stopped watching about half way through the season. I'd catch a bit from time to time, just to keep up a little but overall I thought it sucked. Just my opinion.

1. Booooooooooorrrrrring!!!
It's a popularity contest - straight and simple.

I got tired of all the torch nonsense in the first season.

Frankly, I'd rather watch Junkyard Wars.

6. Do you think Jon was the third most popular person there?

2. I'm just glad Sandra won

and not that arse John!

edit: (an after thought)
Hopefully, the tide is turning from those who constantly lie, cheat and steal, to those who do it to a lesser degree and with some sense of loyalty.

3. I liked it too
I thought that Sandra was just a pistol. And I absolutely hated Jon. I also got a charge out of Lil. Do you know anything about the all-star one coming up after the Super Bowl Feb. 1? All-star as in former Survivors or "celebrities"?

4. I thought it was really good, too.
I haven't watched every season, but of the ones I've seen I thought this one was the best since the first one. I liked Sandra from the beginning, and they were pretty lucky to find Rupert for the pirate-themed season. Also, it was nice that they had different challenges this time around. It seemed like they were just recycling the same ones over and over before this season.

9. I got sucked in big time.
It was the first TV show I actually looked forward to watching in at least 15 years.

Lill was nuts for taking Sandra to the final, but I liked her reasons. It is almost worth losing the $900,000 just to make sure Jon didn't win anything. He is scum.

10. Jon still gets paid.
I'm sure it's a five-figure sum. They all get something, depending on how far they make it. But the less Jon gets, the better. :)

11. Now that Jon didn't win I liked it
I was going to be so upset if I had watched the whole stinkin' thing and that chauvinistic asshole won it all! But now that Sandra won I can say I really enjoyed it.

I didn't like the idea of the Outlaws coming back, though.

Until Amazing Race comes back I'll miss my guilty pleasures on tv.

13. That was probably Rupert
One of the most beloved people they've ever brought on to the game Survivor. He didn't win the million dollars, but I have a feeling his life is going to take a turn for the better because of his time on the show. You couldn't help but love the big guy!!!

14. I liked this one
I stopped watching after the Australian one but started again with this one - although mainly coz Burton looked good without a shirt.
Really glas Lil didnt win she gave me the shits from the start - why did she wear her boy scout uniform on the last show - does she own other clothes???

To be honest going by the questions asked by the jury I don't think Lil would have won even if she'd been up against Jon - they seemed to all respect the ability to manipulate whereas Lil came across as someone who kept on and on about how much more honorable she was only to do exactly what everyone else did

15. That uniform bugged the bejesus out of me
Then after Lill made a big deal about how she wished she had never worn her uniform when she was on the Island, she shows up with it on for the Reunion.

At that point Lill, find another shirt in your closet to wear. But I will admit she did clean up nicely with her hair fixed and some makeup on her.

28. If you noticed, they were all wearing the same thing.....
I think even though the reunion show was live and some time much later than the actual last tribal council was filmed, that they wanted it to come across as seamless so they had all the people who were at the last council wear the same clothes.

If you noticed Sandra was wearing that same orange/pink thing that looked like a prison jumper. But because she had her hair done and straightened it wasn't as noticeable.

29. I don't think she was wearing the same thing
Because the outfit she was wearing at the Reunion was orange, but on the show it was beige.

16. i liked it too
i like the way they keep it fresh.

And the way they made 'em jump off the boat with their fancy clothes on. Savage, in his armani suitcoat, looked like something out of Mad Max. Cracked me up!

I hated that guy, too, but not as much as lil and jon.

ADORED Ruppert! Can't wait to see him in the all-stars, but I'm sad that john will be there (hisssss)

17. I liked Savage - I thought he was hot!!
And he had a valid point at the reunion. Had Rupert and his gang joined up with Savage and his group to get rid of Jon, Rupert would have been in the game much longer than normal.

24. They suprised all the survivors
By dropping them in the water with whatever they were wearing and I guess he was wearing a suit. They didn't bring any other clothes with them.

20. Survivor? I thought they broke up years ago!

It's the Eye of the Tiger, it's the thrill of the fight,
rising up to the challenge of your rival.
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night.
And his virtue is known as the eyyyyyyyyyye...of the tiger.

21. Loved it
#2 after the first. Only let down was that Jon didn't win, that scheming bastard was a blast to watch.

Her reasoning for giving the money to Sandra was just loony. Lifestyle choice? Gods I hope that sort of thing doesn't become more common.

This F3 was really a retread of the Africa finale. You had a great schemer, a person who did fine but didn't scheme nearly as much, and an older woman who was disliked by all. In that case, as well, the older woman took the nice one (Ethan) over the one who deserved to win (Lex).

But that's fine. I just enjoyed the fact that it was a good Lil Smackdown. I couldn't stand her.

All Star starts in 48 days, I can't wait. Hopefully, Burnett will release the official cast list, so we can quit going by the spoiler sites' lists that may not be right. (Amber? :wtf: )

25. Loved it, thank the diety Sandra won over Lil
What the heck was Lil thinking by the way???

Can't wait to see Rupert in Survivor all-star edition....

I had not watched since survivor 2. Tina's victory left a foul taste in my mouth. The others were just boring.

#7 hit stride once again.

26. I agree. It was good.
But I have to admit that I saw only the season finally. I missed all the other episodes due to my job. I think they did a pretty good recap though so I was able follow it pretty well.

I am SO glad Sandra won. :-)
