Are we not men? Will we not fight for what is good in this world? Will we not turn toward the face of evil and beckon it's fury upon us?

Are we not so brave that we cannot stand together on this day and proclaim, with religious conviction, that 'yes, I am a democrat and this is my country too.'

Will we let petty squabbles blind us from our aims? Will we let bitterness and deceit darken the corners of hearts? Will we cower in fear of those who scream louder than us?

Or will we fight back?

Will we throw ourselves into the flames and singe our souls in the fires of battle? Or do we lower our heads and accept fate as it is forced upon us?

I say we fight. And I say we will win.

For the honor we so richely deserve. For the peace we will bring to the world. For the freedoms we cherish.
