How do I start my own website?
I'm in the UK and I want to start my own modest little website, purely for my own PR.

Are there any techno wizards out there who can give me a primer on how to sort this out?

Thanks

2. get a book on HTML
buy one, or go to the library. Or just read web tutorials like this one:
http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/

Then find a host. There's lots of free ones that you can start out with, for example:
http://geocities.yahoo.com/
Or purchase hosting so you don't have adds and pop-ups on your site.
