I hope your class is better than mine was. It was basically a bunch of PowerPoint slides and a guy reading from the OSHA manual. First day on the job I was put in a level B suit and told to go into a burned out warehouse and bring out all the unknown containers of chemicals. And oh by the way don't knock anything over because we have no idea what's in there and you might set the fire off again. I quit after 5 days of that.

That was AWESOME~

Last year, someone from the reservation fisheries dropped off about 8 pounds of crystallized picric acid at the county landfill's hazwaste site. they had to evacuate the entire facility and shut down three lanes of I-5 nearby.

15. The dude told us that he got a call from a major university

asking him if he'd halp them clean out their chemistry storage room.

He found 50 bottles of dried out picric acid and called the bomb squad. The whole building would have been reduced to a heap of steaming rubble.

Like the good ol' boys attempting to cut up a gasoline storage tank with a torch. Blew one of them about 50ft up into a tree. There were others but it's been too long now and I can't remember them all.
