Always thought he was a handsome man and then come to find out he is a good Democrat. Loved "Goodnight, Good luck" and "Syriana". But a movie you just can't miss is O'Brother Where Art Thou? His performance is just wonderful. Can't get that "I am a man of constant sorrow" out of my head. Any other good Clooney films out there?

2. "This is a hell of a spot!"
"I'm what you would call a Dapper Dan Man!" "Ain't this place some geographical oddity! Two weeks (?) from everywhere!" I think my favorite scene was when Holly Hunter's new beau beat the crap out of the Clooney character. Guy looked like such a dork you figure the cool Clooney character will mop the floor with him...

4. I wish I could do the phrase justice
But it was when the three of them had to choose a leader and Clooney said he would guess it would be the one capable of "abstract thinking". That killed me right there. Your quotes made me smile though....

7. I haven't watched it because i thought it would be a bit
lame given that J-Lo was in it. But I am willing to give it a try. Thanks!

Some critic back at the time said something like it confirmed her as a "big screen voluptuary." I guess Oliver Stone's U-Turn has probably already hinted at that status. Along with Jackie Brown , that's one of the best Elmore Leonard adaptations to hit the screen.

15. You'll enjoy the reappearance of Michael Keaton as
Ray Nicolette, among other things. A different directorial approach. Hard to tell which one I prefer, they're both so damn good. Guess I don't have to choose.

17. Yeah, it's funny to see him playing the same guy
in two different directors' Elmore Leonard adaptations. I think I'll watch both movies again this weekend. Thanks for the reminder.

22. Florida and Detroit are common settings.
The movie Jackie Brown was LA for sure. Haven't read that particular book. But Ray Nicolette was FBI, so he could be anywhere.

Can watch that one again and again. Lopez was wonderful in that. Her last good performance? Shit, Don Cheadle was so good in that.
