1. They're both great, but that techno-funk background of Jones is crap.

And so I have to vote for the original.

I really wish that Jones had done this song with the proper background, instead of that synthesized dance groove computerized shit.

I like Tom Jones well enough, but his covers (Talking Heads, Prince) just seem forced to me. Like someone was holding a gun to his head to make him do it....

6. I like the Talking Heads' version better, but the Tom Jones/Cardigans

one is good, too (had never seen it before).

I have to confess, though, I like the Tom Jones/Art of Noise version of "Kiss" better than Prince's. Might be sacrilege to say so, but there it is.

Why do some people hate Tom Jones so much? I'm clueless - is he a Bushlover or something?
