My doggie is sick...send him good thoughts.
My 12 year old chow, Lore, has been on IV fluids and plasma and antibiotics from a really bad infection for the last couple of days. I've been driving him from the vet during the day to a clinic to keep him on fluids and stuff overnight and the prognosis is guarded. He seems to be doing a bit better than he was the first day, but I'm really worried for him. He isn't showing any interest in eating and that's never a good sign.

He's the sweetest chow you could imagine and I know he's getting pretty old, but I'm hoping for the best for him.

I've lost so many of my fur friends in the last couple of years that it's starting to wear me down (all of them were very old except poor Logan who was only four and developed renal failure).

Anyhow, as soon as hubby gets home, we'll be going up to the vet to check in on Lore and see how he is doing. With any luck, I'll get to bring him home tonight and try nursing him back to health with some fresh homemade food that will be easy for him to digest and will appeal to his instincts.

Wish him the best.

2. Having a sick dog is no fun.
Especially a very sick dog on meds. I'll send some healing vibes to Lore and give you a  to shore you up at this time.

6. Hoping for the best.
I know how tough it is. We have lost some elder pets and it is so hard. Now we have one, a young almost 4-year-old.

7.  Lore, get well buddy!
I'm gonna tell my six guys (dogs) to pull for him too! I know you are doing everthing you can for him, add the good thoughts from one human and six mutts! (I asked the two cats but you know how they are)
