It's a port for Windows of a command-line image manipulation suite originally written for Linux. Perhaps you can call it from within your ASP script or whatever.

P.S.: needless to say, this would be a far simpler problem if your server was running Linux and Apache.

7. well it used to work sorta like that

Someone else wrote this and it broke recently.

They were using WScript.Shell to run an exe program from shell that converts the images. But I think the permissions got screwed up and its not letting it create the jpg file on the server. I played with permissions for 2 days and it just doesnt create a file.

Very very frustrating.
