Good Friday Morning, Crew!

:hi::donut:
Welcome to the Friday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: How are you today? I hope you had a good day yesterday! Mine was really busy, but then I think it's going to continue to be that way until this clearance sale is over with. One thing about staying busy is that the day goes by quickly. I just get to the store and in sixty seconds, four hours have passed and it's time for lunch! Sixty seconds after I get back from eating, another four hours have passed and it's time to go home! I love that! :woohoo:

And all of a sudden, here we are at Friday! :bounce: Do you have any big plans for the upcoming holiday weekend? Tuesday is July 4th, you know! Independence Day! I don't know how it got to be July so damned fast, but it's here tomorrow. I remember when I was a kid, one of my favorite summer things was going to the fireworks stands and getting all the stuff I could to shoot off on th 4th! Smoke bombs, snakes, firecrackers, those tanks that would go forward and then shoot its cannon, roman candles. What a fun time that was! I hope you get to do the same thing on Tuesday! :bounce:

But, we have to get through today to make it to tomorrow. So let's get this day going, my crew! :bounce: Time to rise and shine! :D

I've got just one more hour to make it through then I can go home and sleep.

BTW, did you see Grease 2 last Saturday night? I think it was on ABC family or something like that.

7. I LOVE Grease 2!
I own it on DVD and watch it once in a while! I especially love the part where Michael Carrington sings "Charades". "...I guess I really messed up...trying to be two...when only one heaaaart can be there..." The other part I like is the song at the talent contest when Stephanie and a "dead" Michael sing together! LOVE it!

17. LOL! Hey, nothing wrong with 8-tracks...
with the one exception of songs being divided between the "sides". I hated that! YOu'd be going along just fine, then the song would fade out...CLICK...fade back in...

I never understood why they divided songs that way instead of just putting the song on the next track.

:donut: :hi:

:woohoo: I have an exciting weekend planned. :bounce: Harleykid is coming over after work and we're having supper together and then going to the drive-in to see Cars. She's spending the night and tomorrow we're going to the "neighborhood" pig roast. My neighbor just invited us yesterday -- he says EVERYONE will be there (meaning all the relatives). It's within walking distance, just down the driveway to his brother's house. Maybe they'll treat us to some TN moonshine.

Are you going to see the fireworks this year? :bounce:

Oh, and here are a few photos I took yesterday.

The view from our front porch:

The view from our back deck:

YAY! Sounds like a great weekend, my dear! You get to see HarleyKid and go to a pig roast and all that go along with it! :woohoo: I hope you have a lot of fun! You certainly deserve the break after all the hard work you've been doing! I'm not sure if we'll go to see the fireworks or not. Tallahassee has a humongus display of them in one of the parks here in town but I hear it's crowded like you wouldn't believe and hard as hells to get out after the show is over. We just haven't decided yet.

Those are some great pictures you took! It looks so peaceful out there. And to be able to see the horses like that is a lot of fun too. :bounce:

18. We went to fireworks once.
The park was a 10-minute drive from our house. Of course, it took no time at all to get there, but it took an hour just to get out of the park afterwards. x( We always just watched from the porch after that. But once my parents took me to a place in PA, some botanical gardens thing, where they had fireworks and "dancing" fountains, all synchronized to the music. It was awesome! The air sure was thick after they got done with it, though!

Yes, it is VERY peaceful. I'm sitting at my table right now with the "back" view to my left, through the French doors ... except I don't see any horses this morning. I sent a pile of pics to harleydad but I haven't heard if he saw them yet.

We're starting a countdown today. Harleydad is coming home in ONE WEEK! It'll only be for a week, but we're both pretty excited! :bounce:

27. I guess that's the way it is everyplace.
In Missouri, I went to "Firefall" a few times and there were thousands and thousands of people there. The Springfield Symphony would play and the fireworks were set to the music and it was really cool too! But, with so many people, it would take hours to get home. I stopped going because of that. I can just picture you sitting there, coffee in hand, looking out the french doors, smiling at me!:loveya: I'm SO glad Mister Harley is getting to come home for a while! :bounce::party: I'm excited FOR you two also! :bounce::woohoo:

:bounce: :loveya: ... except you forgot the part about me wishing you and Greekspeak were here to share the beautiful view with me. :loveya:

Harleydad finally looked at the pictures. Now he wants to forward them to all his friends. I hope this week goes by REALLY fast and next week crawls by. :D

It's funny, but when we went to that place with my parents, it didn't take long at all for people to get out. I think they had a little better traffic management because they did it every night. Taking a long time to get home sort of ruins the experience -- you've all but forgotten the beautiful fireworks by the time you get home. Harleykid says there's likely to be plenty of fireworks at the pig roast. :woohoo:

I'll hang out the damn bedspread, too! I don't mind vacuuming. These floors are really easy to keep clean ... and they don't show the cat fur (expecially BROWN cat fur) anywhere near as much as the white tiles did! As a matter of fact, they hide it SO well, you have to be careful of the brown fur balls in the morning.

If I get ALL done with everything and have to wait for Harleykid, I'll sit under a tree and read a book. :D

I hope with all my heart that by this time next year we will be truly celebrating the end of the worst regime in known American history. I wish us all a joyous time and much fun as we celebrate what this country truly stands for.

To all of us, (including our beautiful and faithful ex-patriots, British, Canadian, Swedish and all the other countries represented here) -Have yourselves a merry little July 4th holiday and here's :toast: to a much brighter future.:hi::loveya:  :bounce: :patriot:

55. Fl check-in
Glad your work hasn't been dull. Speaking of dull, we had an excruciatingly boring homeowners' meeting last night. There's a ton of upkeep in these places - even without all the bells and whistles some developments have. But, the developer is out of here and things are looking great.

57. Good Morning, Miss Flblu!
:hi:
I'm assuming you're talking about the homeowners association meeting. I don't know if I'd like being part of one of those. I'm not sure I'd like someone telling me what I could and couldn't do at my house. x( They seem like a bad idea to me. I'm glad things are looking great though! :bounce:

66. That's how it is with condos and
townhouse subdivs. We're pretty small so the rules in place are reasonable. The main thing is not to buy in a development where there are amenities that you don't use and end up paying for anyway.

56. Good Friday morning everyone...................
...hope this finds everyone doing good.:headbang:

Clintmax, I'm very glad your days are going by so quickly.:bounce: That's the only true advantage to being exceptionally busy.:applause:

I'm going to stay home - by choice - and stay around the air conditioner. It's supposed to be up around 90 degrees with 70% or more humidity. So that's stay home weather for me!!

Tuesday I'm going to a barbecue, so I won't be inside the entire 4th of July holiday but until then I've got plenty to do.

OMG, I FINALLY found TWO peculator coffee pots yesterday.:applause: I've had so much bad luck with the drip coffee makers developing leaks, blowing up, shorting out, and what ever that is they do when they make noise and die. So I swore I was going back to my trusted and true peculator coffee pot but for the life of me I couldn't find any - new or used.:banghead: Well, persistence pays off!!:applause: I found one electric peculator and one stove top peculator coffee pot yesterday and grabbed both of them. :bounce:Needless to say, I had a decent cup of coffee this am, so I'm a happy camper.:bounce:

Be good to each other and keep plugging away at those neocons.:bounce:

67. Hi Y'all!
Miss Sugar Smack and I finally made it to the Keys yesterday afternoon!
It's time for me to make a real cup of coffee. It seems like all of the restaurants make it about 1/2 strength.
