Ellen DeGeneres is the Rush of comedy

That is, I see she's technically proficient at her craft

She's obviously talented

She obviously knows how to work a room and get them going

And if you see her live (I have) chances are you will find her funny

However, after the show, you scratch your head and say "that wasn't really that funny..."

But she can deliver. That's why her stuff works better live and in person than it does on a 16 inch TV screen.
