Ouch! I just talked to my friend who went from making $40.00 an hour
working on copiers, to earning $8.00 an hour driving school buses. She didn't adjust her lifestyle and now she is being evicted out of her home. <she always told me she owned the home, but now i find out that she is renting> What a trip!

1. That seems awfully low for driving buses.
Is it some kind of private school?

5. It's high for here.
Bus drivers here earn about $7.50/hour and are expected to also help out in the school between morning and evening bus runs.

2. I went through a similar dilema.
I went from making 21 to making 13 that was bad enough.Didn't lose my house but it was close.

4. Most would have problems making that kind...
of lifestyle adjustment. Cripes, that is a 80 percent drop in pay!

6. Terrible situation
If she lied about owning the house, she probably likes to keep up a false front to impress others. Now she can't keep up that front. Ouch, that's got to hurt on so many levels. She's learning some tough lessons.
Was she unemployed for a long period? Just wondering why she accepted an $8 an hour job when she could have unemployment.
Yup, she's learning some tough lessons. I hope I don't have to go through what she's going through.

7. Oh, she was collecting good unemployment
And did so until she exhausted her benefits. Then she took on the bus driving job
