Shakeup Expected at Fox News Channel, 2nd quarter of ratings drop

Shakeup Expected at Fox News Channel

According to Broadcasting & Cable magazine, Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes "is on the warpath" following the second consecutive quarterly drop in its ratings. The trade publication reported that in the second quarter, ratings for FNC are down 22 percent among 25-54 year-olds and 8 percent in total viewers. "Insiders say that, even though Fox News remains No. 1, Ailes is fuming over the complacency he senses among staffers," the publication reported. It quoted a spokesman for Ailes as confirming that Ailes plans to clean house of slackers, saying, "Anyone who displays launch-type intensity will continue to have a job at Fox News. Those who don't will not. And that includes talent."

Here's a suggestion - why not just present the news without the repuke-added twist. Perhaps the reason why your ratings are going down each quarter is because people know THAT YOUR NEWS IS FRICKING FAKE - distorted to help promote the Bush agenda.

If there was a cable network news channel that presented the news unbiased, undistorted I would leave that channel on 24x7 to watch.

2. I also want to know why Rupert Murdoch was the Kidman/Urban wedding
Just because someone is from my hometown/homestate/home country and happens to be famous doesn't mean I want them at my wedding. I have standards you know!

3. No kidding!
At least it wasn't some other Fox rep like Bill O'Lielly or Hannity and/or Colmes....:scared: :puke: I guess the Australian thing was the deciding factor...

5. Good suggestions, LynneSin; and while they're at it...
Maybe they stop beating bullshit stories (ie: Natalie Holloway) to death whenever the biggest news has negative impact on rethugs.

6. I was pondering for a few minutes about Rupert Murdoch
He was one of the guest at Nicole Kidman/Keith Urban's wedding which the only reason I could think of why they invited him is because he's a fricking wealthy Australian. Then the most profound thought came over me - Is Murdoch that big of a Bush supporter or is his ultimate goal the dumbing down of America in order to help Australia move up the ladder of top nation? For me, being a republican means having a closed mind and beling dumbass ideas like Intelligent Design or that Gay Marriage will somehow corrupt regular ones. So what better way to promote Australia over the US by dumbing us down with bad news

8. I would definitely tune in if they would present footage of O'Reilly
being flogged with pastries. They have options. What a bunch of crybabies.
