That sucks. Are you just not interested in these people? Being unapproachable sometimes means you just don't feel comfortable sharing things about yourself upon first meeting a person. It takes a while before I crack the door to my emotions with a new person. If you feel these people are just uninterested in you, I bet you a donut they're reason for the date is different than yours.
