Poor kitty!
My cat likes to walk back and forth on the edge of the tub when someone is taking a bath. Tonight while hubby was in the tub, she slipped and went head first into the bathwater. I felt so sorry for her, but it was funny later to watch her walk while shaking her hind legs. I don't think the bathtub will hold the same mystique for her from now on.

1. Yep!
That's how the Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger lost his fascination for sliding around on the ice in our koi pond. One dip in the icy water, and there've been no incidents since. Poor baby, though. It really freaked him out.

3. the cat won't do that again!
A friend of mine and his wife had just moved into their newly built house. They put all 3 cats in an upstairs bathroom because they didn't have litter boxes set up yet. One of the cats turned on the water in the sink and the drain was stopped.

When he got home there were 3 hissing cats in the bathroom- one on the toilet, one on the sink edge, one on the bathtub edge... 2 inches of water on the bathroom floor and $5000 worth of damage to the floors below.

4. my namesake, Skittles
Edited on Sat Jun-24-06 04:06 AM by Skittles
he is a 26 pound bundle of black feline fur - he liked to sit between the shower curtains when anyone took a shower. One day my boyfriend Tombo fell in the shower and landed clean on top of him - the cat screamed and took off but ultimately was OK - Tombo swears he would have broken something if he had not landed on that black beanbag.....Skittles still hangs out in the shower, just not between the curtains.

5. Cats are dignified most of the time
so when they do something klutzy - well, it's hard not to laugh.

6. ..do something klutzy & pretend it was just another way of
cleaning their nether regions.

I love how they pretend it was what they wanted to do all along.

I had one once who could not resist a flushing toilet. Even if he was hiding out, if I flushed the john, here he came, head first to watch the water disappear. He never got tired of it.

My Siamese will use the toilet; he taught himself by observing us closely. too closely.

7. Hah hah -- Yep, they suddenly develop a keen interest in
a spot of fur that MUST be cleaned thoroughly that very instant!

8. My cat freaks when I drop anything near him
I guess it's the noise or something. Yesterday I dropped the answering machine and he managed to climb all four shelves in the pantry before leaping past me and racing to the bedroom where he hid from that scary answering machine.
