My recipe for BBQ pork ribs does NOT include "take refrigerator apart"
But sadly, that's how it worked out this afternoon. While the ribs and the corn were on the grill, I cleaned a shelf in the fridge. I put the shelf back, put the sliding drawer into it, and tried to close the door. It didn't close all the way, so I opened it up, but lo and behold, it was caught on the shelf and wouldn't open, either. Stuck about an inch open.

So, off Rabrrrrrr went to find his tools, removing the stuff from the freezer door, then removing that door. I pull it off only to discover that I didn't need to, because the bottom door is held in at the bottom. GARGH!

So, crawl to the floor, unscrew the two screws, while hoping desperately that after I get the last screw out the door doesn't fall on me - I braced it with my body as I took out the screw, and it came out gently. So then, time to remove everything from the door, fix the shelf, and then try - all by my lonesome - to get the doors back on. Pain in the ass. Finally had to jimmy the bottom door with a stack of ArtForum and BBC Music Magazine magazines so that I could get it on.

But, by God, I got it all back together, got all the food back in the fridge, and it works fine.

And thankfully, the wasted twenty minutes were just right for the ribs, though they got a little overdone; but I burned parts of the corn.
