Poll question: Greatest Wrestlemania Match Of All-Time
It's the 20th Anniversary of Wrestlemania this year, so I thought I'd honor that and post this. Come out closet wrestling fans, I beckon you!

----

Mr. T & Hulk Hogan vs. Roddy Piper & Paul Orndorff Wrestlemnia I - With monthly PPVs now a commonplace in professional wrestling, it's difficult to conceive of a time where they didn't exist. It took Vince McMahon's vision to create Wrestlemania, which paved the way for wrestling as it is today.

Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant WrestleMania III - Andre, who outweighed Hogan by nearly 150 pounds, was the odds-on favourite. However, as he proved repeatedly, Hogan triumphed in the face of adversity. In a thrilling match, the Hulkster eventually slammed the Giant and leg dropped him for the pin fall.

Randy Savage Vs. Ricky Steamboat Wrestlemania III - In an era before cruiserweights and many in ring technicians, Steamboat and Savage put on an in-ring classic which stood out among the largely lackluster work in the WWF at the time.

Hulk Hogan V The Ultimate Warrior WrestleMania VI - The only time in history that two face competitors have made the main event. It was champion vs. champion as 70,000 braved the Skydome in Toronto. Both men were in the prime of their careers and in peak athletic condition. At the conclusion, the Warrior prevailed with a splash off the ropes…the only time Hogan was beaten at WrestleMania.

Shawn Michaels V Razor Ramon Ladder Match WrestleMania X - Who was the real Intercontinental Champion? The answer was Razor Ramon, but despite his loss, it was Michaels who shone in this match. He took innovation to a new level and became the master of the ladder match - imitations have followed ever since, but this was the true trendsetter.

Bret Hart V Stone Cold Steve Austin WrestleMania XIII - So good it overshadowed the main event. It was the birth of a phenomenon as two men with unbelievable chemistry swapped roles from face to heel. It ended, as all epics should, with the brave new hero Austin passing out due to loss of blood in the Hitman's finisher. He refused to quit and the attitude era was about to become adult.

The Dudley Boys vs. The Hardy Boys vs. Edge/Christian Triangular Ladder Match WrestleMania XVI - The greatest tag team feud of all time was only just beginning when these three teams collided, all making their WrestleMania debuts. Yet, the youth and extreme approach personified the contest, including a swanton from a ladder. It was the perfect tag team match.

1. Hogan v. Warrior
The best match of pure wrestling and no showmanship I have ever seen.

12. Yup...absolutely insane.
I STILL remember watching that with my buddy...I was a Hulkster, and he was for the Warrior. I was pissed. Great match though...back and forth, back and forth.

2. Hogan v. The Giant
Pontiac Silverdome. Stupid then, even more stupid now (stopped watching five years ago), but bless the Giant's good heart, and may he RIP. Yokozuna, too.

6. Totally agree.
I hate wrestling but my dad and brother are HUGE fans. My little brother still has this match on tape. It is one of his most prized possessions. Andre was the MAN. Wrestling isn't the same without him.

7. I was young enough to still believe Hogan v. Andre
An I can still remember that slam being the greatest thing I had ever seen. It wasn't even a very good slam, technically speaking.

8. Considering how big Andre was...
I don't care if it wasn't a technically god slam and I don't care if it was "fake" - it was still a pretty amazing feat of strength. And to think of the trust Andre had to put in Hogan to do it...wow.

9. Hulk v. Andre - the first Wrestlemania I ever saw
This was before cable PPV events, and they had close-circuit TV of the event at venues around the country. I actually went to the Boston Garden to see it. Man, that sounds like ancient history.

Wrestling fans! Whoooooooooo!

Ok, I loved the Dudleyz/Edge and Christian/Hardy Boyz match at WMXVI. One of the greatest matches of all time, hands down. Their Tables, Ladders, and Chairs matches after that were some of the greatest and most entertaining as well.

*At WMXIX, The Rock vs Austin was probably the best WM matchup ever. Their feud has spread through three Wrestlemanias, with the most memorable being the one where Austin beat Rocky Maivia for the WWF Title.
*The Angle/Lesnar match is probably up there as well from WMXIX.
*My dream WM match is Goldberg v HHH. That'd be kick ass.
*I'm too young to remember Hogan/Andre, except I do remember that bodyslam Hogan gave Andre.
*Undertaker is undoubtedly the best WM performer ever.

I wanna score some tickets to WMXX....That'd be major kickass!
