I finally got a chance to see Syriana last night

I was kinda nervous about seeing it because I got the feeling that it wasn't well received. But since I've always been pretty happy with George Clooney's work, I decided to give it a go. I was really floored by the movie. They did a great job of showing the various layers involved with the current oil situation and I couldn't believe they actually showed how the Madrassas work and take advantage of poor Muslims.

I had this overwhelming sense of deja-vu, this story was almost identical in a few key points at least to Richard Clarke's last book. Anyone else get that?

Mr Clooney seems to have a lot of great things to say.

also on my list are Munich and Paradise Now ( I think that's what it's called.) I'll have to be in the mood for intensity though.
