Seasoned Producer to Join MSNBC

By THE NEW YORK TIMES

MSNBC has recruited a seasoned television news producer, Tamara Haddad, to run its 6 p.m. political program, "Buchanan and Press," the network is expected to announce as early as today.

Ms. Haddad is often credited for playing a crucial role in the creation of "Larry King Live" on CNN in 1985. She was executive producer of that program until 1993, when she became the senior producer of the "Today" show on NBC. In 1995, she moved over to CBS to become the senior producer of "The Late Late Show With Tom Snyder."

More recently Ms. Haddad, 45, has been a consultant to several media outlets and a sort of shadow adviser to executives and correspondents at many of the television news divisions. She was most recently an editorial consultant to People magazine.

Ms. Haddad started her new job last week. In her first move, she tapped Ron Reagan Jr., son of the former president, to be a guest host on "Buchanan and Press" this week, filling in for Bill Press, the liberal counterpart to the conservative Patrick J. Buchanan.

4. Typical MSRNC
A Reagan Democrat takes on a Reagan Republican. Balanced like a Fox.

6. Ron let a choice tidbit "slip about" about bush's relationship..
with the Saudis. Castellano quickly reminded Ron that Clinton's penis also had a relationship with the Saudis. :wow:

7. Ronnie Jr, Reagan's GOOD son
As opposed to that idiot hate radio clown Mikey......

It's never been much of a secret that Ronnie didn't share daddy's right wing views. He should use his airtime to tell some stories about Bush Jr back in the 80's. Certainly Ronnie must of seen some of the Drunk Driving Cokeheaded Chimp in action?

10. Jr. eh? Sounds interesting...
Loved his outspoken comments about GWB from a while back.. "My father crapped bigger ones than him".

BTW, Anyone know Ms. Haddad's political leanings, or is she just from the 'Greenback' party?
