"The Hills Have Eyes," the remake.
I saw it last night, but haven't seen the original. For anyone who's seen both; how do the two compare?

4. (The remake) was fairly gory and visually disturbing,
but it startled me, more than anything (although, I was all caffeined-up when I watched it, so that may have contributed.)

3. One of those rare cases where the remake was better
The original was pretty bad.

5. So I shouldn't bother putting it in my Netflix queue, then.
My husband's going to crap when he sees that there's nothing in our queue but political documentaries and horror movies.

7. Yeah, it's not that great
The remake actually was pretty good. Same goes for House of Wax (I didn't like the original much, but did like seeing Paris Hilton offed.)

6. Original "Hills" falls in that category of scary movies from my childhood,
that I was aware of because of their scary commercials, but wasn't old enough to see. This would include such films as: Last House on the Left Suspiria The Town that Dreaded Sundown It's probably best that I never see any of these films, I'm sure they are much scarier to my imagination than they could ever possibly be in reality.
