17. I still think it's Batwoman

The most recent Batgirl was Cassie Cain, who was trained by her assassin-father, David Cain, to be the greatest assassin ever. She was initially never taught how to talk so that those parts of her brain could be trained to read other people's movements and body language. She recently gave up the gig.

First Batwoman was Kathy Kane, who was introduced as a romantic foil for Batman to take off some of the "gay heat" caused by the book, "Seduction of the Innocent," in the 1950s. Her niece, Betty Kane, came along as the first Batgirl as a romantic foil for Robin. Later on, Barbara Gordon became Batgirl (that's who you have in your picture there) before she was crippled by the Joker and became Oracle - a database ops/clearinghouse for the supuerhero community. The Huntress was briefly a Batgirl then Cassandra.

This new one is Batwoman.

It's a series of different galleries of comic book covers divided up into different categories. It started off with a bunch of Superman covers where he was, for whatever reason, acting like a dick.

They have plenty of Batman examples in the "Seduction of the Innocent" gallery, so named after a book in the 1950s from some psychiatrist who didn't like comics and proclaimed Batman and Robin were gay. It led to congressional hearings and the introduction of Batwoman and later Batgirl (not Barbara Gordon but Batwoman's niece) as romantic interests for the dynamic duo.

Personally, I like the "Suffering Sappho" gallery, which gets into Wonder Woman's obsession with bondage (which stemmed from her creator's interest in it).
