Good Thursday Morning, Crew!

:hi::donut:
Welcome to the Thursday edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: Captain Clintmax with you here on this very warm 22nd day of June! I hope you're doing good today! We made it over the Hump Day and so now the weekend is on its way! :woohoo:

I got everything I needed done yesterday EXCEPT...........laundry. I just had NO desire to go over to that laundromat, let me just tell you. I'm going to have to get over that because I am out of clothes and now its become a mandatory situation. And I had planned to go to Orlando for the day today. x( Hmmm...maybe if I can get over there early enough, I can get it all finished quickly and get back in time to still go. No, I doubt it. Orlando is going to have to wait until tomorrow I guess.

How was your day yesterday? I hope it wasn't too stressful at work and you had a good time.

And so now it's time to get this Thursday started! Time to rise and shine, my friends! :bounce:

Better get those clothes clean, I washed everything today. I had all four clothes lines full.

16. Good Morning, Miss Texan!
:hi:
I know, I know. I'll get them done today. I just dread the whole thing. Miss Airmens and I have talked about drying clothes on a line and we both agreed that it is our favorite way to dry! They smell SO good!

25. Yes, I don't own a dryer. The smell is great, I had everything washed
by 10 am and went to bed.

I washed all the sheets, and even winter clothes to put away.

with other things. I try to wash everyother day but I have been helping my neighbor move to another house so that took all my time. She is moved, not unpacked but moved.

39. She had to sell this house because of high property taxes, she
isn't happy about moving.

She has three houses, two rental. She moved to one of the rental house, smaller and not as nice.

What a shame, she really counted on the two rental properties for income, and she didn't get what the house and land was really worth.

You know it's bad when taxes are so out of control that you have to sell your property because you can't pay them.

63. She was surrounded by townhouses, $300.000 ones, guess what the
taxes in the area must be. Monday the street and yards flooded, she would totally flood if we had major rain.

I can't tell you how much I hate townhouses. Many people have left because of the high taxes here now, can't afford to stay.

I have two housemates that pay me rent, that goes to pay the property taxes.

I wonder if esgrow would have helped in that regard. When we finally buy our house, I'm going to set up the esgrow (I think most lenders want that anyway), so we don't have to worry about it.

8. Yeah...I should be able to figure it out.
My sleep got all messed up from having friends over. Met a few friends at the bar after bartending school, none of us felt like going straight home, so we all ended up in my basement. We probably played the last game of pool around 8am. They left around 10:30am. I fell asleep around 2pm and I woke up at 7pm. I watched the Simpsons and ate pizza for I guess...breakfast.

The only way (for me) to get back to sleeping right is to take a sleep aid (Tylenol PM) and go to bed at my normal time the next night.

One of the pieces is a fantasy on the Te Deum which is a celebratory hymn. The music is gorgeous - that's why I'm listening to it.

6. Good morning Clint
sorry I wasn't here yesterday. I was away from my office and computer all day. I worked with computers nevertheless. Our admin retired and the position isn't refilled. Since I agreed to help out if the admin isn't there (already before he retired), I am now more or less responsible. Yesterday our computer support guy was here and I worked with him all day repairing, installing computeres and printers and other stuff regarding the computers. Today is back to normal.

M. called me this morning :D I was so surprised. He is thinking about moving earlier than first planned so as soon as he moved I can visit him again. So lets cross our fingers that he finds an apt soon :D

We missed you yesterday! So you were working, but it sounds like fun. It's always fun to do something different then what we typically do. That's why I like my job. No one day is like the other. Always surprise projects, which is fun.

Yes, I hate that too! I've had a washer & Dryer in my place before but doing laundry at home is an all day affair. If we go to the laundromat, we can use as many washers as we need, then use as many dryers as we need and have it all done in about two hours. That's the only good thing about it.

I have no idea why the power went out. It went out for around 30-45 seconds then came back on for a few seconds and went out again for around a half hour. Then it came back on and has been fine since. Maybe the early news will have something to say about it.

59. I have crappy dial up
So unfortunately viewing videos is a lost cause for me. They're nothing but a halting, drawn out process that takes infinitely longer than they're supposed to. One of these days I'll get something better--perhaps after I move.

83. Isn't that sweet?
I need to see if anything besides dial up is portable. I need something I can use both at home and at work since I do most of my surfing at work, but still do some at home. I'll have to check out my options and see what is the best way to go. I'd like to go wireless but I'm not sure if that's portable in any way. I'm pretty clueless about this stuff. :dunce:

86. Well, I have a cable modem...
I can tell you that THAT isn't portable. You'll be able to use that at home, but not at work. There is a satellite internet service but it's expensive and you have to have a certain card to pick up the signal. I'm not sure what would be the best way for you, my dear. Does your work not have internet access?

89. My weekend job does
But it's strictly for work purposes only. I can't use their computer or ISP for anything but work related stuff. Technically I'm not even supposed to hook my own computer into their phone line and go online but since it's the middle of the night and the likelihood of anybody calling in is incredibly remote I risk it. So far in over a year nobody's complained that they've tried to call and couldn't get through.

We have access to e-mail (that's the only way we get price changes and things) but no internet access at all. I guess they're afraid associates would get on eBay and stuff.

40. Good morning, Clintmax!
:donut: :hi:

I had a total paperwork day yesterday ... budgets, spreadsheets, bills, rebate forms. Then I treated myself to hooking up the new printer and importing my iTunes library to the MacBook. YES! It's all working fine! But I forgot my username and password for iTunes. Not a problem -- it took me to a place called iForgot.

Don't know what I'll do today. I might venture into town and get the ceiling paint so I can be ready to finish this painting job once and for all. Or I could do laundry. Sounds like you should've brought yours up here.

The horses are out now. I should sit outside and aim the camera at them. I LOVE it when they graze in front of the deck where I can see them. :loveya:

CUTE kitty! :bounce: :woohoo:

I wouldn't last five minutes in a laundromat. You'll be happy when you get your new place and have your own washer and dryer. Laundry's no big deal that way. :D When are you going to start looking again?

I should probably get dressed before I take pictures ... although there's no one here to see me in my jammies except for the horses. Oh, they moved over and are partially hidden by a tree. I'll drag that camera out soon and start shooting away. How are you enjoying that new camera of yours, by the way?

I want to get out today and take some more pictures with it! If I can, I'll have lots more to show you in the morning!

No, you wouldn't be able to take it in a laundromat. The detergent and fabric softener smells all mingle and it's crazy. WE use scent free everything when WE do clothes, but most people don't. I see folks all the time with the cheap store name brand of cleaning stuff and that just drives me crazy! x( They smell the worst of all!

It will be probably 3 months before we start looking again. Need time for things to show up.

Your last pictures were really good!

It's sort of funny how people think toxic chemicals smell good. There's ONE way to get "April Fresh" and that's to hang the clothes out on the line. Other than that, clean has no scent. I can understand why you dread going to the laundromat and having to breathe in all that nasty stuff!

Three months will be gone before you know it. I remember what we were doing three months ago, just like it was yesterday. And by then, maybe you'll be able to get more house for your money. :bounce:

I think we will too! My realtor kept me on the e-mail list so I've been getting house listings all this time and the prices are actually lower than when we started looking!

You're right about the toxic chemical thing. We use Arm&Hammer Fabricare Free. Who wants to go around smelling like "Bounce" all the time?

And they'll keep getting lower.
Our realtor is making it sound like we sold the last house in S. FL . Nothing is moving at all now. It's a great time for buyers!

Well, I'm glad you use the Free stuff. It would have been a bit harder to spend time with you otherwise. Some of those products are WAY strong. I swear, they are making them stinkier all the time. Last night I was sitting on the deck and all of a sudden I smelled a strong cloud of fabric softener or something. It was dark, so I didn't see anything until a few minutes later when a guy, probably a neighbor, emerged out of the dark under the other neighbor's lamp. He was about 20 feet away from me when he walked by and it just about knocked me over. :puke:

I have to get going. I made a spreadsheet of all our expenses and harleydad reminded me of something else, but I can't find the receipt for it. :scared: So I have to go hunting for it. I hope you have a good day and do something more fun than laundry. :loveya:  :hi:

Get that bad stuff outta there! My Dad had a scare last week, CT scan showed something and they rushed him to an oncologist ( I was impressed at how FAST they got him in ), turns out he has lymphoma but it's not aggressive. It might never cause him a problem, and apparently is caused by a bacteria on the lymph node. (I'm still researching it), anyway, he's going to be fine and at 81 he's doing really well otherwise. I wish the best for your Dad!

Tomorrow will be another early day for me, Dr's appt in Bloomfield Hills again.
