1. Other: Smart Patrol/Mr. DNA.
That song just barely holds together in the most exquisite way.

All the same, put on any Devo, my friend (up until and including New Traditionalists), and I'll be happy.

The unfit may live.

10. IMHO, one of their best live performances ever taped.

They could really rock when they chose to:

1)Lay a million eggs or give birth to one.
2) The fittest shall survive, yet the unfit may live.
3) Be like your ancestors or be different. It don't matter.
4) Wear gaudy colors or avoid display.
5) We Must Repeat

13. Thanks for that!
I'm happy to have their Live 1980 DVD, but I wouldn't mind having that on DVD, either.

5. Freedom of Choice!
PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE REFRAIN...

Lyrics for: Freedom Of Choice

A victim of collision on the open sea
Nobody ever said that life was free
Sank, swam, go down with the ship
But use your freedom of choice

I'll say it again in the land of the free
Use your freedom of choice
Your freedom of choice

In ancient Rome there was a poem
About a dog who found two bones
He picked at one
He licked the other
He went in circles
'Til he dropped dead

Freedom of choice
Is what you got
Freedom of choice!

Then if you got it you don't want it
Seems to be the rule of thumb
Don't be tricked by what you see
You got two ways to go

I'll say it again in the land of the free
Use your freedom of choice
Freedom of choice

Freedom of choice
Is what you got
Freedom of choice!

In ancient Rome
There was a poem
About a dog
Who found two bones
He picked at one
He licked the other
He went in circles
'Til he dropped dead

Freedom of choice
Is what you got
Freedom from choice
Is what you want
(repeat)

11. I second that....
rather provocative tune, and you gotta love that driving groove. But Jocko Homo and Smart Patrol/Mr. DNA are classics, and embody well the DEVO ethos.
