Good Wednesday Morning, Crew!

:hi::donut:
Welcome to the Hump Day edition of the Early Morning Crew thread! :bounce: How are you this morning, my crew? I hope your Tuesday was a good day. It was a long one for me and seemed to fairly drag on for some reason. And now, suddenly, here we are at Wednesday!

I really must take the day today and get this place cleaned up. One would think a tornado moved in with us as much stuff is scattered around here! That and laundry. Must do laundry today too if I want to wear clothes for the rest of the week. I guess I COULD go around in only underwear, but it would only be a matter of time before the police picked me up for indecent exposure. So laundry is on the list too. Sounds like a great way to spend a vacation day, huh?

It's time to rise and shine, my crew! Are you ready to get this day started? Well let's get it on!

:hi:

Splendid to see you this fine morning.

I have to disagree with your assesment - you walking round in your underwear would not be indecent exposure, it would be most decent exposure. ;)

Hope that you manage to get motivated to clear up - my place is always in a terrible state...

I'm listening to some Gesualdo motets - a most odd composer indeed - at the moment O vos omnes.

I've never heard of Gesualdo. Is he a contemporary composer?

42. I fear that you're right,
and we certainly don't want you getting into trouble. :loveya:

Gesualdo was around at the end of the 16th century. He was driven insane after he found his wife in bed with another man and killed both of them immediately by driving his sword though them both. The interesting point about him is that he was a Prince (of a small part of Italy) and thus had his own money, and so he didn't have to keep a patron happy and could write whatever music he wanted to - which means that many of his harmonic structures wouldn't be used again until the 20th century.

Such is my view at least...

He is indeed an excellent speaker - like many of our politicians he was a barrister before entering Parliament, and so had to be able to speak well - then to get anywhere in the Commons a person pretty much has to be good at speaking...that he's a pathological liar is a bit of a downer on him in my view...

How is the unpacking going?

64. I'm just about as unpacked as I'm going to get.
We're not even unpacking our dishes ... just using paper plates. But things are pretty well organized and looking good.

I'll PM my new address and phone number. You still have a few months left. It'll be SO good to see you again! :bounce:

38. Good morning, Clintmax?
:donut: :hi:

Bring your laundry over and I'll do it for you. :loveya: Hey, aren't you going to Orlando one of these days? That sounds like a lot more fun than laundry!

I painted for 15 hours yesterday, with just a short break for supper. I was too tired to sleep last night. It's all done except for part of the ceiling in the kitchen b/c I ran out of paint. It sure is looking nice, though. If I didn't have so much paperwork to do, I'd take a break today ... might still have time for that after the paperwork.

Harleydad is coming back in a few weeks, but only for a week. His managers are being stupid about this whole thing. And he's not doing too well. He misses me and the kitties and sounds generally down. I'm worried about him.

47. Good Morning, Miss Airmens!
:hi::hug:
You'd really do that for me?? What a sweetie! :loveya: Thank you for the thought, my dear. You painted for 15 HOURS yesterday??? All by yourself? Wow, I didn't realize you still had that to do. I think you deserve a break today! I wish you COULD take today off.

I'm sorry to hear about Mister Harley. Why do managers have to be dickheads like that sometimes? I just don't understand it. I could never be that way. I hope they change their minds.

62. I surely would.
And I'd hang it out on the line for you, too. :loveya:

Yep, it was a long day. I thought it would be a quickie b/c the kitchen and dining area aren't that big. But it's a lot of trim work getting around the cabinets. I couldn't pull the refrigerator out ... I didn't even know they made them without wheels, but I think this one was made before wheels were invented. And I was afraid to pull the stove out. That can wait till harleydad gets home. Or maybe I'll ask the maintenance man to do it -- let it be his problem if he damages the floor.

I don't know why managers are dickheads like that. Originally, they promised that he could telecommute from here. Then they pulled the plug on that AFTER we bought land and put the house on the market. No way did we ever expect to be away from each other for so long. And the strange thing is that his manager lives in Wisconsin and works from there. So why can't harleydad work from here? I wish you were his manager. At least you have a heart. We have a big anniversary and I have a big birthday this year (both ending in 0) and I'm afraid we'll have to spend them apart. I hope they change their minds, too. *sniff* Thanks for the hugs.

66. Oooo...I'd love to have line dried clothes again!
:bounce: I don't blame you about moving the refridgerator and stove. You can damage the hells out of a floor that way. Leave it go, says I! Oh, no. I'm sorry you've got some big dates coming up and you might have to spend them alone. I'LL be here with you if Mister Harley can't be.:loveya:

:bounce:

Thanks. And I'm sure harleykid will come over. But it's just not the same ... I mean, usually the couple spends a wedding anniversary with each other. I'm hoping we have things worked out by then.

Joani and MissHC will be here just before my birthday. Say, where is MissHC today?

Haven't seen her yet. Maybe she's in a meeting or something.

Tony is wanting a LOT of attention this morning! He's got a stuffed duck toy and keeps bringing to me to throw so he can go fetch it.

78. Tony should come over and play with Satchmo.
I have the door closed so he can't bother me right now. He woke me up by throwing things off the bathtub. x( Now he wants second breakfast (as if he usually gets that).

Maybe MissHC had a hot date! :bounce:

80. Tony sleeps with Greekspeak and I...
and he never makes a sound until the alarm goes off. He won't let me hit the snooze more than one time. Otherwise, he sleeps just as long as I do! Now he's sitting on his hind legs with both paws on my right arm just looking at me like; "Don't you see me here, Daddy! I wanna play! Pay attention to me!":rofl:

How sad if you'd have to spend your anniversary and your big birthday without Harleydad. I too think that I'd be crying. Maybe his manager will come around.

88. Morning Clint!
Not exactly hump day for me. We're on summer hours now, which means we get to work 4-9 hour days, but get to leave at noon on Friday. I decided to burn 4 vacation hours, so I get a nice three-day weekend. Yippee! I'm not feeling just too ambitious at work lately, think I must be a little burned out. But I must focus

Laundry's a never ending chore. It's something I do every weekend. Do you do any ironing? I think I'm about the only one left on the plant who does it. There's certain things of mine that I just just so .

I'm glad you get to have a three day weekend this time! :bounce: It's good that you can do that! I get burned out sometimes too and so I take vacation when I do! Yes, I do do some ironing! I have a couple of short sleeved shirts that the cuffs on the shirt get all rolled up in the wash and will NOT unroll and so have to be ironed. I just don't understand that.

I best be getting my travel mug ready and head out of here. You have a great day, and be sure to set aside some time for some fun things.
