1. Reminds me of my oldest cat.
She was an itty bitty when I got her, except for her ears. First time I took Miss Kitty to the vet, the vet looked at her and said, "Don't worry, sweetie. You'll grow into those ears."

And, she has--she's not a gigantic kitty cat, but she's pretty big, and my lovey kitty. She's 16 years old now.

5. Unfortunately since I was their Mom, I let them climb all over me
as kittens, and HE still drapes himself on me when I'm asleep.. He must weigh 25+ lbs.. Sometimes I wake up feeling like I cannot breathe..wonder why :)

6. Oh, that's just too sweet!!!
I'm a big fat clumsy so-and-so myself...
Those first pics reminded me of the photos of my
mom giving me a bath in the kitchen sink, when
I was just a little tiny helpless thing.

I eventually got big and lazy too...and ALMOST as handsome as your
Sammy-cat!

Almost.

13. He's also a "fetcher".. He loves those little foam balls
Edited on Sat Jun-17-06 12:25 PM by SoCalDem
and will fetch and fetch and fetch, until we have to HIDE the ball.. My husband keeps a stash of the new ones, because his teeth eventually shred them, and Bubbie knows where they are kept.. The drawer is in a wicker cabinet with an open pull.. Bubbie reaches therough the opening and grabs the cellophane with his claws, pulls a new ball through the opening, and voila..a new ball..

He also opens doors and cupboards..(we have latch handles not knobs, and he just stands up and presses down on the handle until the door opens..)

He's a big scaredy cat when someone comes in that he does not know..He runs down the hall and HIDES inside the linen closet, on the lower shelf with the rugs..We'll hear a "bup-bup" noise and it's him pushing the door open with his head to see if it's "safe" to come out..

I have had cats my WHOLE life... and NEVER had one as smart or GOOFY as Bubbie..

11. reminds me of my Ivan....
what is it about male tuxedos? I think Will Pitt also has an enormous tuxedo bruiser.

Never saw Ivan as a kitten, he showed up at our back door about 18 months ago deathly ill - turns out he just had a bad upper respiratory infection and as he recovered, he ate almost his body weight in cat food to get to his current weight where he appears to be most comfortable. Found him at 11lbs, he now tops out about 22lbs and most of that seems to be muscle, not fat.

Big, biiiiiig boy.
