Anna Nalick - Wreck Of The Day
Hope 7 - self-titled
Allison Moorer - The Hardest Part

4. Ella and Bassie

34. Yes are truly one of the most amazing and best bands ever!
I've been on a Yes kick the last week, especially the live stuff.

I've been addicted for 25+ years, and I never get bored with them (except the 9012whatever and later stuff).

The other stuff is a mix of old American tunes (Bicycle Built for Two kind of stuff), blues, some rock, and classical (the Babbit, Schickele, and Delius). Peter Schickele you know if you have heard of PDG Bach at all - he's the guy that writes the music. His serious stuff he does under his own name.

17. .
Plant Serenade - just some extended tonal crap that people in the '70s thought made plants grow. Dunno about that, but birds sure do hate it.

John Davidson, My Best to You - That's Incredible! that this guy ever got a record contract.

Orleans, Waking and Dreaming - We're still havin' fun, and you're still one creepy-ass naked band on the cover of your record.

Borghesia, Ljubav he Lladnia od Smrti (Love is Colder than Death) - 1984 Slovenian industrial S&M music with a photocopied sleeve that folds out into a poster. On red vinyl. Incredibly awesome and awesomely incredible.

Rainbow, On Stage - The best record either Ronnie James Dio or Ritchie Blackmore ever made.

Some crappy AFI picture disc that belongs to my 15-year-old daughter.

Vicki Lawrence, The Night the Lights Went out in Georgia - The title track is the best song on the record, which says all you need to know.

Jerry Yester & Judy Henske, Farewell Aldebaran - Kneel before my record-collector-scum geekiness, mere mortals.

Zingers from the Hollywood Squares - 2 dozen quips from Paul Lynde? Priceless.

Love, Forever Changes

74. Do you have a Bill Harrell side on the Liberty label?
I don't remember the name of it and can't find a reference for it. It has a picture of the band on the cover. Someone, if I remember correctly is shown holding a 12 string guitar. They do Signal on the Banjo and, I think, Smiley Hobbs is mentioned as the mandolinist.

I've been looking for a copy of that for years. Also, kudos on Mike Smith, a living treasure.

80. No Bill Harrell...
...actually, I'm not familiar with him. A quick search shows that he's from Virgina...probably an east coast regional artist.

I grew up in Indiana so I know a bit about the bands that played Bill Monroe's festival at Beanblossom. Went to the KFC Bluegrass festival a couple of times in downtown Louisville, KY. Lived for a while(80's) in Boulder so I'm familiar with the Colorado scene. Went to the Telluride festival a couple times.

Most of what I know about Bluegrass comes from those festivals and the stuff introduced to me by friends who played Bluegrass.
