So, hypothetically speaking, how long would 50 lbs. of pot last you?

Many of us herb friendly DUers were aghast in sadness when it was reported that the couple CALLED THE POLICE, as many of us would consider such a find to be the best thing ever.
So, hypothetically speaking--

If you found and kept that bag of mj:

1) how long would it last you?

2) how would you preserve it?

I toke daily, and by my estimates, a 50 pound bag of pot would last me at least 10 years.

How about you?

Today, I would dispose of it. I don't smoke anymore, and I don't engage in illegal activities that could put me in jeopardy of losing my son.

just me- my wife, and 90% of my friends don't toke.

and, at an ounce per week, 16 ounces in a pound, 50 lbs. would theoretically last 15.3846 years...HOWEVER- preserving it for that long would be ridiculous.

i'd probably do a lot of cooking with it.

although i did quit for about 6 months one time- thinking that you're in love will make you do stupid things.

i don't smoke tobaccy- just weed...and i just had a chest x-ray, and my lungs are clean and spotless. i also have a spinal condition that that renders my ribs fairly rigid- meaning that my chest cannot expand to allow my lungs to fully inflate- e.g. i have breathing difficulties.

i just wish that come tax time i could claim the pot money as the medical expense that it is.

800 months = 66.6 years (and I would be 112 years old)

Preservation would be a huge problem. Vacuum sealing in nitrogen combined with freezing could make it last years, but probably not decades. Freezing doesn't halt spoilage. It just slows it down by a lot.

Guy Fawkes Night. We celebrate this guy's failure to blow up the Houses of Parliament when King James I - yes the one that brought you the Bible - was in it. We build bonfires and set light to effigies of "Guy" (but more likely these days the effigies are Bush, Blair, some local political scumbag, Bin Laden... you get the picture). And then we have a jolly good fireworks party afterwards.

Now I can imagine dumping 50 lbs of pot on that fire, watching it go up in flames. Really we would need about 500lbs of pot, a bit of wind, and heck even the police would be cracking up!

Suffice to say putting it on a bonfire would mean it wouldn't last long.

1/2 oz of weed used to last me about four weeks, so 50lbs would last 100 times that, so nearly eight years.

i smoke an ounce per week- and 50 lbs would last over 15 years at that rate...

16 oz. in one lb times 50 lbs equals 800 oz.

52 weeks in one year, so at 1 oz. per week, 800 oz would last 15.384615384615384615384615384615 years.

but of course it's a moot point, because it wouldn't keep for that long.
