Please do not post World Cup Spoilers in the Subject Line (Keep Kicked)
Yes, we in the US have a better chance of watching the games live, but the World Cup is a global event, and DU is a global message board. It doesn't hurt anybody to post "IRAN v. MEXICO (SPOILER ALERT!!!!") rather than "IRAN 1 MEXICO 3 Final!!!" or "Mexico defeats Iran!!!," but it MIGHT hurt other people's experience if you post the latter. So, it makes sense to go with the subject line that poses no risk.

Now, last time around, people said "If you don't want to know the score, don't go online." OK, that's a fair argument. But we do have this courtesy for television shows, and couldn't one say the same about those? And isn't that even less risky, since we're really only paying attention to four (US) time zones for such shows, while the World Cup interests the whole world?

Let's all enjoy the Cup, but let's make sure everyone can enjoy it, wherever they might be located, or however they may have to watch the games. I know I come off like a nitpicking ninny here, and I apologize for that. Last time around we in the US eatern time zone had to watch many games on time delay, so I'm sympathetic for those who have to do it this time around.
