put cat to sleep on Friday and now this...

Today I learned our 2 year old cat was hit by a car. She had been missing since last Tuesday. This after having to put our older cat to sleep just last week. I don't know what is happening, I want to understand. Two beloved pets so close together and now we have no cats anymore. Cat lovers out there help me get over this. I'm looking for the rainbow here but it just feels like a terrible storm. I haven't told the kids yet about the younger cat yet and I don't know how I will.
