I'm trying to remember the name of a movie...
Wasn't there a movie about a visionary automobile designer who ultimately failed in the business (despite the cool cars he created?)

My goofy mind is crossing it with "The Hudsucker Proxy"--clearly wrong, but maybe in the same era?

Can anyone save me from myself?

4. YAAAY!
Thank you!

(Maybe it was the rhyme that made me think of "Hudsucker!")

8. A side note to the movie:
I was working in Sonoma, California where Coppola filmed the movie and marveled at all the Studebakers driving around the area that summer. Turns out they needed 50Tuckers for the film, and the Studebaker, with some cosmetic modifications, would pass as a Tucker. Cool seeing Studebaker Commanders with the famous articulated headlights implanted in the rocket nosecone.

11. It ws the articulated headlights
that got me on this track to begin with! We were trying to remember cars that had them, and the movie came up, and...well, you can see where this is going.

Neat story--thanks!

7. The Big Lebowski.
I know that's not it, but I like The Big Lebowski, and everyone had already guessed Tucker anyway, and it did have the same guy in it... Oh never mind.

13. Good movie, I think.
My memory is clearly suspect, though. I vaguely remember liking it. Maybe.

14. It's the rhyme, I tell you!
Tucker, Hudsucker...how many other things could that rhyme with?--(that can be listed on a marquee, that is!)
