WTF? American Compass Conservative Book Club?
Edited on Sat Jun-10-06 02:29 PM by NewWaveChick1981
Now I'm really gonna hurl... :puke: I opened my mailbox today, and lo and behold, this garbage was waiting for me. wwww.americancompass.com "Virtues, Values, Viewpoints." Yeah, right. Get a load of this:

"Ann Coulter takes on the New American Religion. Ann Coulter's new book is about faith, a subject that means a great deal to her. Indeed, you could say her anger at liberals this time is righteous. ... We know what she means. Liberals are shrieking about theocracy at the very moment when religion has never been so much under attack. ..."

Puh-leeze... :eyes:

Oh, and this:

"Dear Fellow Americans: I don't know about you, but I am fed up with the way the Left---which is to say most in the press and the universities---treats the President of the United STates. They say he's a dope; they say he's a liar; they say he's a crook.

You and I know he's none of these things. In fact, George W. Bush is more savvy, is more truthful, and is far more law-abiding than the liberals' great hero, Bill Clinton.

But, Oh!, how the Left has spun its web of deceit, especially in print.

etc. etc. etc.

Brad Miner, Editor-in-Chief"

This "book club" has more tripe like this throughout the literature it sent. I'm a member of a couple of book clubs, but I don't know what they were thinking when they thought I might like to join this cult. :puke: They should have called it the Hatred and Oppression Book Club, because that's what the books it offers spew out regularly.

Oh, and there is a blog, if you're interested: www.compasspointsblog.com More FReeper hogwash at its finest. :nuke:

1. Just a couple of the many illiterate howlers from his Brad's website
Compass Points:

A conservative blog by renowned author, Brad Miner-

A conservative blog dedicated to exploring the interactions among books, other media, and world and political events.

Interactions among books and ......world ....and......political events????????

Books can interact with one another???? Like people?????

Interactions occur 'among' rather than 'between' books????

I'm surprised it took the National Review four years before
they fired his ass, if in fact he ever worked for them which
I doubt.

Classic FReeper fake resume.

He's an editor like Jeff Gannon was a journalist.

3. This is partly how they divest their bulk sales
Most Conservative book sales are heavily padded by a few really large sales. Most of these books end up as "free" offers related to some other conservative clap trap "offer".
